Candone Wharton is a sculptural ceramics artist who uses Japanese techniques and Morocco and architecture influences in her work. She earned an AFA degree at the Young Harris College located in Young Harris, GA and she later received her BFA at the University of Georgia located in Athens, GA. Wharton began her teaching career in 1973. She was a ceramics assistant at Malmo Sweden in Lunds Universitet and taught Cuna Indians primitive ceramic techniques at Ustupo, San Blas Islands, Panama. She was also a studio potter and gallery owner in Ibiza, Spain and the Ceramics Director of WORC in Daytona Beach, Florida. She then became the owner of Eat Clay Love at WORC. Her present works include the opening of the Eat Clay Love Studio with a new location and new projects. She is also managing Clay Art Travel as the owner and founder which is an ongoing project.
