Sophia Allison
Sophia Allison is a visual artist and educator who works in a variety of media including sculpture, drawing, papermaking, collage and installation.

Sophia Allison received an MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a BFA from East Carolina University and an AFA from Brevard College. Allison’s work has been shown in exhibitions within the U.S and abroad including France, Seoul, Korea, the Palm Springs Art Fair, the San Jose Institute for Contemporary Art, Los Angeles International Airport, the Morgan Conservatory (OH), Craft Contemporary (LA), AmCE Creative Arts (Seattle) and Brevard College, NC. In 2017, Sophia Allison was the recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant. Her art has been featured in publications including New American Paintings (cover), the Los Angeles Times, Artillery Magazine, Artscene and MAKE magazine. Currently, one of her collages is featured on a public banner through ArtScape in Hendersonville, NC through 2022. Allison organizes, curates and produces Parlor, a unique domestic art exhibition and event project located in domestic spaces in Los Angeles, where she showcases artists’ works through one-day exhibitions and performance events.
