AWAC launches “SPACE,” a series of L.A. artist visits, with Kristin Posehn’s open studio + a Posehn-curated tabletop exhibit of works by Alice Könitz, Rita McBride, Scott Benzel, and Tanya Brodsky

Annie Wharton launches SPACE, a curated array of architecture- and design-adjacent events with LA artists including Laddie John Dill, Krysten Cunningham, Kim Schoenstadt and Christian Sampson. Kicking off the series of multi-faceted artists is Kristin Posehn. The East Hollywood open studio event will feature a 9 x 8 foot architectural sculpture made from 1000 pieces of individually cut mirror woven into a kind of lace, titled Ghost Pearls. In parallel, Kristin has curated a popup tabletop exhibition of works by Alice Könitz, Rita McBride, Scott Benzel, and Tanya Brodsky. Entitled Epiphenomena, each of these small-scale objects give rise to second-order phenomena, such as reflectivity, ghost images, and other experiential properties. Meet the artists and enjoy a beverage with us on June 10, 2023.

Kristin Posehn event details:
Saturday, June 10, 2-6pm (Annie will be onsite from 2:30-5:30)
Please RSVP for studio address or more info: rsvp@anniewhartonartconsulting.com

Kristin's studio is located near the corner of Melrose and Western (right by the David Zwirner, James Fuentes and Sergeant’s Daughter spaces) so you can also see these brand new galleries.
